...One splits an adb backup into several ones by app name extracting the contents of the tars to a temporal folder and then re-taring everything to get the individual ab for each android app. The other shell script uses Tar Binary Splitter to divide the main tar inside the adb backup without extracting anything from the tar, so is by far the best method. ...Currently we can download the messages(without the attachments), everything from the files section and all the images from the photo section along with their hierarchy on Yahoo Grab the latest code from SVN - since I have moved to a rolling release instead of versioned releases. https://sourceforge.net/p/grabyahoogroup/code/ [ALERT] The new neo interface has broken the script and I have not found any easy way to work with it. For now the script is not being actively maintained till a solution materializes to access the relevant data easily.
