Open Source Ruby Application Servers

CZEBOX is a referral Open Source implementation of ISDS DataBoxes (http://datoveschranky.info/), eGovernment messaging system founded by Ministry of Interior Czech Republic and Czech Post.

A remote server automation and deployment tool written in Ruby. Capistrano extends the Rake DSL with methods specific to running commands on() servers. Capistrano is written in Ruby, but it can easily be used to deploy any language. If your language or framework has special deployment requirements, Capistrano can easily be extended to support them. Capistrano is bundled as a Ruby Gem. It requires Ruby 2.0 or newer. Capistrano can be installed as a standalone Gem, or bundled into your application. It is recommended to fix the version number when using Capistrano, and is therefore recommended to use an appropriate bundler. The capistrano-rails gem includes extras specifically designed for Ruby on Rails, specifically Asset Pipeline Support and Database Migration Support. Capistrano deploys using SSH. Thus, you must be able to SSH (ideally with keys and ssh-agent) from the deployment system to the destination system for Capistrano to work.

Homebrew installs the stuff you need that Apple (or your Linux system) didn’t. Homebrew installs packages to their own directory and then symlinks their files into /usr/local. Homebrew won’t install files outside its prefix and you can place a Homebrew installation wherever you like. Trivially create your own Homebrew packages. It’s all Git and Ruby underneath, so hack away with the knowledge that you can easily revert your modifications and merge upstream updates. Homebrew formulae are simple Ruby scripts. Homebrew complements macOS (or your Linux system). Install your RubyGems with gem and their dependencies with brew. Homebrew Cask installs macOS apps, fonts and plugins and other non-open source software. Making a cask is as simple as creating a formula.

Sentinel is a task runner. Task can be executed in a cron style scheduler. A SOAP server allows tasks execution from a SOAP client. Other task execution methods are on planning.

This tool runs as a window service to start and stop rails server on a path and port specified in the .config "C:|Program Files|MA|Rails App Launcher" file on the windows OS.

Ansible role for 7.x/6.x Elasticsearch. Currently this works on Debian and RedHat-based Linux systems. The latest Elasticsearch versions of 7.x & 6.x are actively tested. Elasticsearch default version is described in es_version. You can override this variable in your playbook to install another version. While we are testing this role only with one 7.x and one 6.x version. All Elasticsearch configuration parameters are supported. This is achieved using a configuration map parameter 'es_config' which is serialized into the elasticsearch.yml file. The use of a map ensures the Ansible playbook does not need to be updated to reflect new/deprecated/plugin configuration parameters. The application of the elasticsearch role results in the installation of a node on a host. Specifying the role multiple times for a host, therefore, results in the installation of multiple nodes for the host.
