GitHub REST API client for JavaScript. Import the Octokit constructor based on your platform. Instantiate your octokit API. All options are optional, but authentication is strongly encouraged. API Previews can be enabled globally by setting the previews option. They can be set per-request as well. A default time zone can be enabled by setting the timeZone option. In order to use Octokit with GitHub Enterprise, set the baseUrl option. Most of GitHub’s REST API endpoints have matching methods. All endpoint methods are asynchronous, in order to use await in the code examples, we wrap them into an anonymous async function. Authentication is optional for some REST API endpoints accessing public data, but is required for GraphQL queries. Using authentication also increases your API rate limit. -

Serverless Offline
Emulate AWS λ and API Gateway locally
This Serverless plugin emulates AWS λ and API Gateway on your local machine to speed up your development cycles. To do so, it starts an HTTP server that handles the request's lifecycle like APIG does and invokes your handlers. Options passed on the command line override YAML options. List of available function names and their corresponding serverless.yml function keys are listed after the server starts. This is important if you use a custom naming scheme for your functions as serverless-offline will use your custom name. The left side is the function's key in your serverless.yml and the right side is the function name that is used to call the function externally such as aws-sdk. Once you run a function that boots up the Docker container, it'll look through the layers for that function, download them in order to your layers folder, and save a hash of your layers so it can be re-used in future. -

That goes from documentation to code generation, from discovery to event management, and beyond. The AsyncAPI Specification defines a standard, protocol-agnostic interface that describes message-based or event-driven APIs. The AsyncAPI document allows people or machines communicating with one another to understand the capabilities of an event-driven API without requiring access to the source code, documentation, or inspecting the network traffic. It allows you to define your API structures and formats, including channels the end user can subscribe to and the message formats they receive. You can develop, validate, and convert the AsyncAPI document to the latest version or preview your AsyncAPI document in a more readable way using the AsyncAPI Studio. -

DataLoader
Generic utility to use with an application's data fetching layer
DataLoader is a generic utility to be used as part of your application's data fetching layer to provide a simplified and consistent API over various remote data sources such as databases or web services via batching and caching. A port of the "Loader" API originally developed by @schrockn at Facebook in 2010 as a simplifying force to coalesce the sundry key-value store back-end APIs which existed at the time. At Facebook, "Loader" became one of the implementation details of the "Ent" framework, a privacy-aware data entity loading and caching layer within web server product code. This ultimately became the underpinning for Facebook's GraphQL server implementation and type definitions. DataLoader is a simplified version of this original idea implemented in JavaScript for Node.js services. DataLoader is often used when implementing a graphql-js service, though it is also broadly useful in other situations. -
