    AlphaZero.jl

    AlphaZero.jl

    A generic, simple and fast implementation of Deepmind's AlphaZero

    Beyond its much publicized success in attaining superhuman level at games such as Chess and Go, DeepMind's AlphaZero algorithm illustrates a more general methodology of combining learning and search to explore large combinatorial spaces effectively. We believe that this methodology can have exciting applications in many different research areas. Because AlphaZero is resource-hungry, successful open-source implementations (such as Leela Zero) are written in low-level languages (such as C++)...

    Yangshun Lago

    Yangshun Lago

    Data Structures and Algorithms library in TypeScript and JavaScript

    ...Instead of aiming to be a production runtime, it serves as a reference you can step through to understand how arrays, stacks, queues, linked lists, trees, heaps, graphs, and sorting/searching routines actually work. The implementations favor clarity over micro-optimizations, making them approachable for learners who are new to algorithmic thinking or coming from non-CS backgrounds. Because the code is idiomatic JavaScript, it also helps front-end engineers strengthen fundamentals without switching languages. The repository’s structure lets you browse topic by topic and compare trade-offs such as time versus space complexity. It’s a handy companion to interview prep lists: after reading a concept, you can open the matching Lago implementation and trace it line by line.

    Supervised Reptile

    Supervised Reptile

    Code for the paper "On First-Order Meta-Learning Algorithms"

    The supervised-reptile repository contains code associated with the paper “On First-Order Meta-Learning Algorithms”, which introduces Reptile, a meta-learning algorithm for learning model parameter initializations that adapt quickly to new tasks. The implementation here is aimed at supervised few-shot learning settings (e.g. Omniglot, Mini-ImageNet), not reinforcement learning, and includes scripts to run training and evaluation for few-shot classification.

    FuzzyWuzzy

    FuzzyWuzzy

    Fuzzy string matching in Python

    ...One of our most consistently frustrating issues is trying to figure out whether two ticket listings are for the same real-life event (that is, without enlisting the help of our army of interns). To pick an example completely at random, Cirque du Soleil has a show running in New York called “Zarkana”. When we scour the web to find tickets for sale, mostly those tickets are identified by a title, date, time, and venue. We’ve built up a library of “fuzzy” string matching routines to help us along. And good news! We’re open sourcing it. The library is called “Fuzzywuzzy”, the code is pure python, and it depends only on the (excellent) difflib python library.

    PRMLT

    PRMLT

    Matlab code of machine learning algorithms in book PRML

    ...Bishop (PRML). It is written purely in Matlab language. It is self-contained. There is no external dependency. This package requires Matlab R2016b or latter, since it utilizes a new Matlab syntax called Implicit expansion (a.k.a. broadcasting). It also requires Statistics Toolbox (for some simple random number generator) and Image Processing Toolbox (for reading image data). The code is extremely compact. Minimizing code length is a major goal. As a result, the core of the algorithms can be easily spotted. Many tricks for speeding up Matlab code are applied (e.g. vectorization, matrix factorization, etc.). ...

    Lib Roman/Arabic for GCC (C++)

    Lib Roman/Arabic for GCC (C++)

    Library Roman/Arabic for GCC (C++)

    This library performs the numerical conversion of Arabic numerical values into Roman numerals and Roman numeral values into Arabic numerals. This resource is developed with didactic and pedagogical objectives. Its commercial use may not be of extreme importance. The code of this library is published in the book: C++ Underground Programmer of the author Augusto Manzano (only portuguese). The book can be purchased from the "Clube de Autores" service - https://clubedeautores.com.br/book/209155--C_Underground_Programmer?...

    React Fiber Architecture

    React Fiber Architecture

    A description of React's new core algorithm, React Fiber

    The React Fiber Architecture project is a detailed technical document that explains the internal design and behavior of React Fiber, the core algorithm that powers modern React rendering. Rather than being a traditional code library, it serves as an educational deep dive into how React manages updates, scheduling, and reconciliation under the hood. The document explores how Fiber replaces the older stack-based reconciliation algorithm with a more flexible system that breaks rendering work...

    MicroGP

    MicroGP

    A multi-purpose extensible self-adaptive evolutionary algorithm

    MicroGP (µGP, ugp) is a versatile optimizer able to outperform both human experts and conventional heuristics in finding the optimal solution of hard problems. It is an evolutionary algorithm since it mimics some principles of the Neo-Darwinian paradigm. ⚠️ A new version is available on https://github.com/squillero/microgp4

    Algorithms & Data structures in C++

    ...The demo program for the algorithm demonstration is placed under src. (one demo per algorithm.) After the program passes correctly, please initiate Pull Requests, the code is verified and stored in the library, and the new algorithm implementation is published in the README. TAB = 4 space. set ts=4 in vim. Graph output format is Graphviz Dot format. (the output format of the graph is in dot of graphviz.)

    ...In other words, there are no provisions for “slow” I/O cases. The original motivation for this tree was a better backend for memory managers. However, the end result was a new sub-category of trees. The implementation giving here is just one implementation of the new tree sub-category, there can be others. In any case, read the PDF: “Capsule Trees - A Primer”, before delving into the code.
