A starting point for Clean Architecture with ASP.NET Core. Clean Architecture is just the latest in a series of names for the same loosely-coupled, dependency-inverted architecture. You will also find it named hexagonal, ports-and-adapters, or onion architecture. This architecture is used in the DDD Fundamentals course by Steve Smith and Julie Lerman. After installing the template, you should be able to create a new project in Visual Studio and search for Clean Architecture. You should see the template appear in your list of project templates. Template Studio is a suite of Visual Studio 2022 extensions that accelerate the creation of new WinUI 3, WPF, and UWP apps using a wizard-based experience. Projects created with these extensions contain well-formed, readable code and incorporate the latest development features while implementing proven patterns and leading practices. The generated code includes links to documentation and TODO comments that provide useful insight and guidance for turning the generated projects into production applications. To get started, install the appropriate extension, then select the corresponding Template Studio project template when creating a new project in Visual Studio. Name your project, then click Create to launch the Template Studio wizard. Specify which capabilities you want to use in your app, and we'll build out the framework for the features in your app, tagging TODO items. Here you can add features that enable your app to interact with storage, notifications, layout theming, etc.

Project templates with batteries included provide the minimum amount of code required to get you going. The ASP.NET Core API project template uses dotnet new to enable you to turn features of the project template on or off. Response caching is allows the use of the [ResponseCache] attribute on your action methods. Cache settings (cache profiles) are stored in the configuration file and referred to by name. Use the HTTPS scheme and TLS security across the entire site, redirects HTTP to HTTPS, and adds a Strict Transport Security (HSTS) HTTP header with preloading enabled. Both in-memory and distributed cache are configured. You do need to specify where the distributed cache stores its data. Allow configuring Kestrel security limits such as maximum request size via configuration and set sensible stricter defaults.

ANTE (Asp Net Template Engine) is a template engine for .Net that uses the same syntax used in aspx pages to take advantage of intellisense features in Visual Studio and other IDEs.

This is a solution template for creating a Single Page App (SPA) with Angular and ASP.NET Core following the principles of Clean Architecture. Create a new project based on this template by clicking the above Use this template button or by installing and running the associated NuGet package (see Getting Started for full details). The template is configured to use an in-memory database by default. This ensures that all users will be able to run the solution without needing to set up additional infrastructure (e.g. SQL Server). Verify that the DefaultConnection connection string within appsettings.json points to a valid SQL Server instance. When you run the application the database will be automatically created (if necessary) and the latest migrations will be applied. This will contain all entities, enums, exceptions, interfaces, types and logic specific to the domain layer.
