    migrate

    migrate

Database migrations, CLI and Golang library

Database migrations are written in Go. Use as CLI or import as a library. Migrate reads migrations from sources and applies them in correct order to a database. Drivers are "dumb", migrate glues everything together and makes sure the logic is bulletproof. (Keeps the drivers lightweight, too.) Database drivers don't assume things or try to correct user input. When in doubt, fail. Package migrate reads migrations from sources and runs them against databases. Sources are defined by the...

    Human Signals

    Human Signals

    Human-friendly process signals

human-signals is a lightweight Node.js library that provides human-readable descriptions for POSIX signal names like SIGTERM, SIGINT, and SIGHUP. Rather than relying on scattered documentation or hard-to-remember codes, this library maps system signals to meaningful explanations, including default behaviors, standard descriptions, and exit codes. It’s ideal for building CLI tools or process managers that handle termination signals and want to provide better logging, debugging, or user feedback.

    k8s-graceful-shutdown

    k8s-graceful-shutdown

The library provides the resources to implement graceful shutdown

...The simple app shown above, adds a graceful shutdown period of 5 seconds after which the hook, which takes care of closing the server with the help of our shutdown functionality, gets triggered. Upon sending a SIGINT or SIGTERM signal, the user can see that a grace period of 5 seconds after which a waiting async operation of 3 seconds takes place, and only then the message 'shutdown after graceful period' indicate the closing of the server will be displayed. The app also showcases the functionality of the "getHealthHandler". Upon requesting localhost:3000/health, the healthTest will return true and the message 'everything is great' indicating a positive health check should be displayed.

    parexec

Execute multiple commands in parallel and display output with ncurses

...Empty lines are ignored. Lines containing a single `-' instruct parexec to wait until all previous commands have finished before starting to execute further commands. When sending a SIGINT to parexec (usually done when you hit CTRL-C) it will wait for currently running processes, but if they are done parexec will exit ignoring all the following commands. When sending a SIGQUIT to parexec (usually done when you hit CTRL-\) or by sending SIGTERM to parexec (e.g. with kill parexec_pid) it will terminate the running processes immediately and exit. ...
