    Entropy Monitor

Monitor of the available entropy stored within the Linux kernel

In computing, entropy is the randomness collected by an operating system or application for use in cryptography or other uses that require random data. This randomness is often collected from hardware sources, either pre-existing ones such as mouse movements or specially provided randomness generators. Examples for applications that depend on entropy (random numbers) would be the fortune(6) program, which gives a random quote, or the solitaire card game, or the shuffle option in a music...

    Solarstorm

    Solarstorm

A rethinking of the Operating System Ecosystem.

This is the fifth or sixth generation of this idea, the big difference being that we have written some bootloader code and have started mapping out the kernel layout and structure. We have decided upon a core programming language for the kernel, and the core language for almost everything else. With a focus on isolating the MAJOR kernel features from the system itself, in what until now has remained research only instances, we hope to create a fully functioning exokerne. All code at this time will be available only via a git repository.

...There may be some bugs or some problems with this system. If you find out them, please feel free to contact me by email. What's new in this system is that I try to make the kernel work in a signal-slot mechanism just as Qt. This is not a real-time OS. I want to run it on some embed device. You can compile and run it on Linux.

    Xenomai Kernel Images

    Xenomai Debian Images

This is a sister-project of [1] where I maintain grsecurity images. Similar to that project, here I maintain xenomai real-time kernel images that can be installed as debian packages. These images have been created through the generic configuration provided by Ubuntu 12.04 so they are not vendor specific. They can be installed simply by dpkg -i and they come with a pre-installed initrd ramfs so you don't have to generate a new one. Just like it's sister project we don't need any actual code uploaded in the repositories because all the Linux kernel and xenomai code is available to public. ...

    Grsecurity Images

    Ubuntu Hardened Kernel Images

...The aim of this project is to provide easy-to-install kernel images and headers for x86 architecture. You may also be wondering why I haven't uploaded any code in the repositories, well the Linux kernel code is available at kernel.org anyways so uploading it again is redundant and here the aim is to provide easy to use images that can be installed with single-click so I don't need to upload any source code, in near future as we make more changes the source code will be made available.

    CRUMp

A probabilistic prediction system of protein phosphorylation sites

CRUMp is based on a kernel-based learning method called Classification Relevance Units Machine (CRUM). Given an input set of protein sequences in FASTA format, the system outputs the position, residue type (S, T, or Y), and the estimated probability of each tested site being phosphorylatable. Latest downloadable files: - crump-0.2.0.tar.gz: CRUMp GNU Octave package - crump-0.2.0.zip: CRUMp MATLAB script - crumptestset.fasta: A testing dataset in FASTA format.

    easylinux2linux

scripts and minimal binary packs to migrate from one distro to another

...You would like to perform an upgrade, but you would like to avoid burning a CD or even making a bootable USB flash. The machine may even be somewhere where you do not even have physical access. You already have a running kernel and a working network connection. Why not use them to get your new linux running directly? Many distributions already provide a network install but getting the installer to run on your old linux proves tricky because you depend on local libraries and tools. Why not rely instead only on the linux kernel? You unpack a minimal set of tools to a separate directory, you chroot to it and start from a well defined configuration that can get you to your destination.

    Vocale

Virtual CUDA Library Extension for Qemu

...Vocale is an extension to the Qemu hypervisor that emulates the CUDA library in Qemu's virtual machines. Applications in the virtual machines can thus use any GPU in the physical machine to accelerate their operation. Function calls and kernel launches are forwarded to the host and executed using the real CUDA library. We reference developers to the readme.pdf file in the source code for installation instructions. This file also tells where one may download the thesis. Vocale is not a complete solution, and there are issues regarding performance and security that needs to be solved.
