This short and simple test program was made to show myself whether I could remember everything I learned in C++ so far or not. The program itself has no GUI, just the cmd.exe screen. Enter any positive number you can think of (any nothing else!) for the radius of a circle, and the program will spit out the circumference. Cool, eh? -

Factorial Hashing Function
...It produces variable length hash from a message block of the size you want. The resulting hash will be ~2x the message block in size, and should provide for at least as many bits of security as the block itself. I updated this, with a different hash than original, since I found a potential collision on some blocks, not but specific to that challenge. To further correct this, I modified the padding when it's less than the block size. I hold no guarantee of the security of this algorithm, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I have had no 3rd party analysis done on the algorithm to date, but research is welcome, and a challenge is even provided in CHALLENGE.txt. -

...The application allows the user to conduct a quick triage of the Windows directory structure by outputting the results to a specific output file. Additionally, it conducts a pre and post MD5 hash value of the VMDK itself if needed. For specific file searching purposes, it searches for any file type within the off-line VMDK based on a passed in argument via the command-line. Furthermore, you can extract those files that were found in a hard-coded "Extracted Files" directory as well as provide the MD5 hash of each file that was extracted. -
