    Privacy Rule Definition Language to write Enterprise Privacy Policies

    PRDL is one of the core components within the ENDORSE project. The scope of the language is to encompass clauses from data protection legislation and enterprise privacy policies in order to e.g. derive data access decisions automatically based on the enterprise privacy policies (EPPs). There have been many initiatives for expressing privacy rules and legal restrictions into a computable way. The attempt of PRDL is to present a collaborative result towards a multistakeholder language. The goal was that PRDL should be sufficiently expressive to define EPPs for SMEs, it should link the wording of the data privacy laws of different European countries, and it should be represented in natural language and therefore should be easy to understand. ...

    implementing k-spatial entropy methodology

    ...Basically this is related to the computation of the distribution of k co-occurrences of spatial events (generalising the contiguity distributions - 2 co-occurrences at distance 0) to derive spatial clustering statistics (mainly using the Shannon entropy, then called the k-spatial entropy) and methods linked to this: SOOk, SelSOOk (see caGEO paper) and scankOO (see TGIS).     If the words "Symbolic Instruction" in the name sound familiar, they should. ASIL (pronounced "a-sill") was largely inspired by BASIC. However, instead of starting with a modern verison of BASIC, I started with AppleSoft. Why? Well, ASIL was born in the early 1990s while I was in college. I knew AppleSoft quite well as it was my first programming language. ASIL nearly died then as the compiler technology wasn't up to the job.
