    BlurKit

    BlurKit

    The missing Android blurring library

...BlurKit is an extraordinarily easy-to-use and performant utility to render real-time blur effects in Android. BlurKit is faster than other blurring libraries due to a number of bitmap retrieval and drawing optimizations. We've been logging benchmarks for the basic high-intensity tasks for a 300dp x 100dp BlurView.

    DetectAndTrack

    DetectAndTrack

The implementation of an algorithm presented in the CVPR18 paper

DetectAndTrack is the reference implementation for the CVPR 2018 paper “Detect-and-Track: Efficient Pose Estimation in Videos,” focusing on human keypoint detection and tracking across video frames. The system combines per-frame pose detection with a tracking mechanism to maintain identities over time, enabling efficient multi-person pose estimation in video. Code and instructions are organized to replicate paper results and to serve as a starting point for researchers working on pose in...

    LearningToCompare_FSL

    LearningToCompare_FSL

Learning to Compare: Relation Network for Few-Shot Learning

...The core idea implemented here is the relation network, which learns to compare pairs of feature embeddings and output relation scores that indicate whether two images belong to the same class, enabling classification from only a handful of labeled examples. The repository provides training and evaluation code for standard few-shot benchmarks such as miniImageNet and Omniglot, making it possible to reproduce the experimental results reported in the paper. It includes model definitions, data loading logic, episodic training loops, and scripts that implement the N-way K-shot evaluation protocol common in few-shot research. Researchers can use this codebase as a starting point to test new ideas, modify relation modules, or transfer the approach to new datasets.

    The Silver Searcher

    The Silver Searcher

A code-searching tool similar to ack, but faster

The Silver Searcher (often referred to as ag) is a fast, open-source command-line code-searching tool, designed as a faster alternative to ack, with a focus on programming-related searches and integration with ignore files. Ag is quite stable now. Most changes are new features, minor bug fixes, or performance improvements. It's much faster than Ack in my benchmarks. Ack and Ag found the same results, but Ag was 34x faster (3.2 seconds vs 110 seconds). My ~/code directory is about 8GB. Thanks to git/hg/ignore, Ag only searched 700MB of that.

    Advanced Simulation Library

    Free multiphysics simulation software package

...Its computational engine is based, among others, on the Lattice Boltzmann Methods (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lattice_Boltzmann_methods) and is written in OpenCL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenCL) which enable extraordinarily efficient deployment (http://asl.org.il/benchmarks) on a variety of massively parallel architectures, ranging from inexpensive FPGAs, DSPs and GPUs up to heterogeneous clusters and supercomputers. The engine is hidden entirely behind C++ classes, so that no OpenCL knowledge is required from application programmers. ASL can be utilized to model various coupled physical and chemical phenomena and employed in a multitude of fields: computational fluid dynamics, virtual sensing, industrial process data validation and reconciliation, image-guided surgery, computer-aided engineering, high-performance scientific computing, etc..
