...Open3D was developed from a clean slate with a small and carefully considered set of dependencies. It can be set up on different platforms and compiled from source with minimal effort. The code is clean, consistently styled, and maintained via a clear code review mechanism. Open3D has been used in a number of published research projects and is actively deployed in the cloud. We welcome contributions from the open-source community. GCC 5.X and later on Linux. XCode 10+ and later on OS X 10.14+. Visual Studio 2019 and later on Windows.

The rendering engine has only 700 lines, the modules are clear, and the backbone is prominent. Detailed comments, detailed comments on the main code.
This engine is not an attemp to re-inventing the wheel. It is a more learning-oriented project than something intended to provide a wide set of features. The approach to the OpenGL in this engine is something very experimental born from my own thoughts and can be usefull in future.
