    GroIMP

    GroIMP

    Growth-grammar related Interactive Modelling Platform

Important: Groimp migrates to Gitlab. You can find the latest code at "https://gitlab.com/grogra/groimp/". The version on Sourceforge will not be updated anymore. The modelling platform GroIMP is designed as an integrated platform which incorporates modelling, visualisation and interaction. It exhibits several features which makes itself suitable for the field of biological or ALife modelling: The “modelling backbone” consists in the language XL. It is fully integrated, e.g., the user can interactively select the rules to be applied. GroIMP provides classes that can be used in modelling: Turtle commands, further geometrical classes like bicubic surfaces, the class Cell which has been used in the Game Of Life implementation, and so on. The outcome of a model is visualised within GroIMP. In the visual representation of the model output, users can i

    PyMesh

    PyMesh

    Geometry processing library for Python

PyMesh is a codebase developed by Qingnan Zhou for his PhD research at New York University. It is a rapid prototyping platform focused on geometry processing. PyMesh is written with both C++ and Python, where computational intensive functionalities are realized in C++, and Python is used for creating minimalistic and easy-to-use interfaces. PyMesh is a rapid prototyping platform focused on geometry processing. It provides a set of common mesh processing functionalities and interfaces with a number of state-of-the-art open-source packages to combine their power seamlessly under a single developing environment. Mesh process should be simple in python. PyMesh promotes human-readable, minimalistic interface and works with native python data structures such as numpy.ndarray.

    Software Renderer

    Software Renderer

A shader-based software renderer written from scratch in C89

This is a shader-based software renderer written from scratch in C89 with minimal dependencies, available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Pre-built binaries for Windows, macOS, and Linux are available for download from the Releases page. To build the software renderer from source, a C89 compiler and development files for your window system are required. Install Visual Studio with C++ support and run build_win32.bat. If the software renderer is launched without arguments, one of the available scenes will be chosen randomly. To display a specific scene, additional arguments should be supplied. Metallic-roughness workflow. Specular-glossiness workflow. Image-based lighting (IBL). Orbital camera controls. PBR material inspector. Perspective correct interpolation. Depth testing. Alpha testing. Alpha blending. Cubemapped skybox. Skeletal animation. Tangent space normal mapping.

    Vedo

    Vedo

A python module for scientific analysis of 3D data

A lightweight and powerful python module for scientific analysis and visualization of 3d objects. Inspired by the vpython manifesto "3D programming for ordinary mortals", vedo makes it easy to work with 3D pointclouds, meshes and volumes, in just a few lines of code, even for less experienced programmers. vedo is based on VTK and numpy, with no other dependencies. Import meshes from VTK format, STL, Wavefront OBJ, 3DS, Dolfin-XML, Neutral, GMSH, OFF, PCD (PointCloud). Export meshes as ASCII or binary to VTK, STL, OBJ, PLY formats. Analysis tools like Moving Least Squares, mesh morphing and more. Tools to visualize and edit meshes (cutting a mesh with another mesh, slicing, normalizing, moving vertex positions, etc..). Split mesh based on surface connectivity. Extract the largest connected area. Calculate areas, volumes, center of mass, average sizes etc. Calculate vertex and face normals, curvatures, feature edges. Fill mesh holes.

    retina.js

    retina.js

JavaScript helpers for rendering high-resolution image variants

retina.js makes it easy to serve high-resolution images to devices with displays that support them. You can prepare images for as many levels of pixel density as you want and let retina.js dynamically serve the right image to the user. retina.js assumes you are using Apple's prescribed high-resolution modifiers (@2x, @3x, etc) to denote high-res image variants on your server. It also assumes that if you have prepared a variant for a given high-res environment, that you have also prepared variants for each environment below it. For example, if you have prepared 3x variants, retina.js will assume that you have also prepared 2x variants. If the environment does have 3x capabilities, retina.js will serve up the 3x image. It will expect that url to be /images/my_image@3x.png. If the environment has the ability to display images at higher densities than 3x, retina.js will serve up the image of the highest resolution that you've provided, in this case 3x.
