Virtual Choreographer (VC) is a 3D graphic engine based on an XML language for interactive spatialized scenes. Using the same purposes as X3D, VC is designed to specify complex geometrical scenes. VC focuses on artistic design and multimedia scenes.
Panorama is a framework for 3D graphics production. This will include
modeling, rendering, animating, post-processing, etc. Animation is not currently supported, but will be added soon. It is officially part of the GNU project.

fiiRay is open-source physically based 3D renderer that can be used to create photorealistic images. Python script add-on for Blender 2.50 can be used to export scenes for fiiRay. fiiRay is still in development and current version is not stable.

gloo is a set of c++ classes that simplifies working with advanced OpenGL functionality such as vertex_buffer_objects, frame_buffer_objects and glsl and Cg shaders in an nice, object-oriented way.
Spring3D enables the object-oriented creation and manipulation of 3D geometry running on top of most 3D API (i.e. JOGL or Android's OpenGL). The reference engine is based on Java3D and is in the application process for being made a Spring Extension.
A software tool enabling the user to browse through an image stack created by a confocal microscope. Points can be plotted through the stack, producing a digital 3D representation, which can be viewed in 3D and compared with other plots.
