JAVA is DOOMED (JID) is an OpenSource 3D engine implemented in JAVA and uses OpenGL as graphic API. The reference implementation of the Java bindings jogl is used to access the OpenGL API. ESCAPE and ModelLoader are applications based on JID.

LDrawLoader is an implementation of the com.sun.j3d.loaders.Loader-interface to load LDraw-parts and -models into Java3D-Scenes. Additionally a LDraw-Viewer is provided, that uses the loader to display LDraw-parts and -models.

A multi-platform graphical network analysis tool

The 3ds to java converter is a 3ds loader for java3d. It uses the C-library lib3ds to convert files into a format that can easily be read into java, solving many of the bugs other 3ds loaders for java3d have.

AnkerWorld is a graphical application. It is used to create and visualize 3d architecture models based on the famous Anker (TM) architecture blocks invented in 1880. This Java library was created in order to import rigged and animated figures including the animations created in Blender(c) into Java3D app. The approach chosen was to export the Blender(c) file using the Ogre3D export PlugIn for Blender(c) and then load the data using the classes from this library.

This java application takes input images of an object on a a known sheet of paper and produce a realistic 3d triangulated model of the object. It is designed to integrate the software with the Reprap project to create a simple "3d photocopier". The software was written for a PhD thesis and is currently in an incomplete state.

ConVic is a part of the VICON project. The needs of people with physical or sensory impairments are generally not well considered when designing user interfaces to consumer products. Controls and displays often fail to meet the requirements of users with visual, hearing, mobility or dexterity impairments. It is difficult for mainstream manufacturers to have a detailed understanding of these needs and how to design for them.
