About Improving Apache OpenOffice Extensions and Templates sites

Apache OpenOffice(tm) logoBack in May we announced that Apache OpenOffice turned to SourceForge for downloads, and we are proud to be still part of the OpenOffice community – now a top level Apache project – nowadays gathering in Sinsheim (Germany) for ApacheCon Europe.

As I mentioned yesterday on my personal blog, we submitted a talk for ApacheCon Europe to share with the OpenOffice folks what we have been doing to re-engineering Apache OpenOffice Extensions and Templates websites, and how to create them and eventually gather feedback and ideas about how to improve the end-user experience.

Talking about the Extensions and Templates websites, we comitted to keep improving them and we definitely plan to do that also in the future. Since the desirable features list (see the presentation) includes platform updates, technical improvements as well as search improvements and web 2.0 services, we’d love to hear back from you about your favorite improvements, either on ooo-dev@ mailing-list or here.
