After experiencing the challenges of high growth with previous companies, Mohannad El Barachi (Mo to his friends) co-founded Montreal-based Wrk in 2019 with business partner and  COO David Li. Having successfully led his previous organization, SweetIQ, to 4 consecutive  years of +300% revenue growth, reaching over 100,000 clients and an eventual acquisition, El Barachi was ready for a new challenge. He realized there was a need for a platform that  eliminates the traditional barriers to automation adoption, and empowers organizations to unlock  truly scalable growth.

What inspired you to create the Wrk platform?

We created Wrk to empower your teams to get the most out of their business processes without  extra cost or expertise. We decided that the best way to do this was by tooling business leaders  with an automation platform that grew as their organization did. In 2020 the transition to  automation-adoption sped up exponentially as the world around us changed. However, we  found many business operators didn’t know where to start. The jargon was overly complicated,  the costs were often very high, and the implementation processes were really rigid. We wanted  to provide a fast and accessible solution to help more organizations feel the benefits of  automation without any of the headaches.

Why do you think there has been such demand for a product like Wrk?
