If you’re a crypto trader looking for an edge (and who isn’t?), you may have heard about our trade bots. If you’re a relatively new crypto trader, you may have dismissed the idea as being too hard.
You don’t need to be an advanced crypto trader to develop algorithmic trading strategies. Thanks to the introduction of our powerful, yet easy to deploy bots, new traders have access to the advantages offered by an algorithmic trading approach.
To help you better understand how it all works, we had a Q&A with HaasOnline covering the basics of trading with algorithms and other benefits they offer.
Who is HaasOnline?
HaasOnline is responsible for creating the first public trade automation software for cryptocurrencies on some of the earliest (and now defunct) exchanges like Mt. Gox and Cryptsy. HaasOnline TradeServer is a suite of tools for developing, debugging, and deploying crypto trading bots on dozens exchanges like FTX, Binance, ByBit, and KuCoin.
Prior to the global pandemic, companies and customers thought we were odd for not having a physical headquarters (although we have strong Dutch roots) and relying on a globally distributed team. Now no one thinks twice about working from home offices and dealing with completely digital companies. I should also mention that we’ve run solely on Bitcoin since our inception in 2014. That’s been a challenge in almost every regard.
What does HaasOnline develop?
We started from humble beginnings with rudimentary crypto trade bot software. Currently, we offer comprehensive solutions for traders requiring cloud or on-premise crypto trade automation.
Recently we launched our all new product, TradeServer Cloud, that is geared towards ease of use. Maintaining a stable environment, managing updates, and connectivity issues are among some of the top technical issues that have been alleviated by this new product and traders are thrilled!
Some traders want it all and with TradeServer Enterprise they can. This on-premise solution allows teams to maintain their own hardware, operating system, updates, security, and connectivity without relying on third parties.
We also created a powerful scripting language specifically for crypto traders. HaasScript makes developing and debugging trade bots much faster than traditional programming because it has been crafted exclusively for the purpose of crypto trading. Interacting with exchanges, managing orders, and interpreting signals is a breeze. Traders can use a traditional IDE-based editor, use a drag-and-drop visual designer (without coding), or both!
Why would you use crypto trading bots?
There are several benefits to using trade bots with your cryptocurrency trading strategies. However, there are certainly drawbacks and limitations so be skeptical of influencers or companies claiming otherwise.
- Emotionless trading – When replicating a proven strategy it helps traders minimize emotions in turbulent markets and curb the need to buy or sell at every market movement.
- Higher entry and exit speeds – Since you’re trading using the exchanges API you have the ability to move in and out of positions much faster than by manually placing orders thereby improving profit margins.
- Backtesting and paper trading – Apply your trading bot strategies to historical market data and see how it reacts to specific market movements. This helps traders add additional logic to help improve the bots efficiency.
Traders can trade without risking any loss by using a feature called paper or simulated trading. This allows your bots to trade live markets with dummy virtual wallets in order to optimize trading logic.
Remember, you should have some trading experience and knowledge before you decide to use any automated trading systems.
How easy is it to use your crypto trade bots?
This goes for most trade bot providers–it depends on the trading strategy that you want to replicate and deploy. Crypto markets differ drastically from Forex and traditional markets and there are a lot of caveats to watch out for from fees, settlement times, to unforeseen outages.
Looking back through our past releases it’s clear just how long we’ve come in terms of improving user experience and reliability. One of the most frequent topics our support team would receive on a daily basis was related to installation and setup–which TradeServer Cloud has resolved.
The release of TradeServer Cloud has eliminated the technical overhead previously required by traders to maintain performant infrastructure while still giving them the full power of our flagship product.
TradeServer’s bots are developed with HaasScript which helps illuminate the inner workings of each bot’s trading logic (unlike other providers’ blackbox logic shrouded in mystery).
What makes HaasOnline products safe and secure?
HaasOnline was the first crypto trading bot software to market for the earliest exchanges with thousands of users worldwide. Over the past decade we have weathered the storms and volatility of the crypto markets. Our products are non-custodial, meaning that we do not store nor have access to withdrawal assets from traders connected accounts–all funds are securely traded using API keys.
We offer on-premise crypto trading software that gives even the most selective trader the ability to choose their hardware, software, and connectivity. No third-party tracking, no rerouting orders, no third-party fees, and encrypted locally stored API keys.
We also undergo regular pentesting of our cloud infrastructure by a credible infosec firm and actively participate in bug bounties.
How much does HaasOnline cost?
We’re known for our Bitcoin based pricing and lack of free trials, however things have changed. We now offer a free to use Lite subscription, as well as a 7-day free trial of our premium Pro subscription.
Our premium subscriptions start at $49 a month and unlock powerful features not available in our free subscription. You can also pay annually and get 2 free months.
How can I get started using HaasOnline?
Easy, simply register an account on the TradeServer Cloud application. We require that you set up and configure two-factor authentication during the registration process.
Your new account will begin the 7-day Cloud Pro trial and if you choose not to upgrade, you will be downgraded to the free Lite plan and lose access to premium features.
