X5001

X5001

CommScope is pleased to provide the open source software used in the N319x/PX5001(XF3) HOME GATEWAY!

The X5001 is a CPE Broadband device that uses fiber for wan side communication, and has wired ethernet, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz & 5 GHz) and interfaces for LAN side devices. It also includes an eMTA for land line telephone support.

It uses a DPoE architecture which means it is provisioned using DOCSIS provisioning mechanisms, but there is no “true” cable modem on the device. Instead, a virtual cable modem (VCM) executes on the OLT (CMTS analogous) for each XF3. In this way, there is some similarities between the X5001 and other XBx devices such as XB3 and XB6, but because of the fiber there are a number of differences.

Please note that this project is for distributing, discussing, and supporting the open source software we release. This site does not provide any SDKs or general purpose developer support.
