We are pleased to provide the open source software used in the SBG6580 SURFboard® eXtreme Wireless Cable Modem device!

Please note that this project is for distributing, discussing, and supporting the open source software we release. This site does not provide any SDKs nor general purpose developer support for the SBG6580.

Checking for the Software Version on SBG6580 (See README-SBG6580-Version-Check.pdf for details)

1. Connect your PC to the Ethernet port of SBG6580
2. Open a browser window.
3. Type in the IP address for the modem 192.168.0.1
4. Login using your current Username\Password (The default Username\Password is admin\motorola)
5. Select Software from the Status menu to see the current “Software Version” on your Modem
