I have the same problem. I have replaced all ampersands ('&') within the file, but I still get the same error!?
I have created the file with my notebook version (it was initially created and edited several times by FreeMind 0.9.0. Beta 19 under WindowsXP SP2, and recently it was edited several times and saved by the most recent 0.9.0. RC 1 desktop version).
