The URL doesn't actually matter. When I tick the box [I am willing to help test Slashdot's New Discussion System.] to help test, I cannot make a new reply to the article itself, I can only reply to existing posts.
Tested Firefox 1.0.4 on an old linux box and on Konqueror 3.5.2 on an up to date ubuntu lts box.

I am looking around for a music scheduler.
