I tried browsing the CVS library for this project and saw only "0 Files".
Is this a case of "user error" on my part? Or is the source code available from some other location?

Are you holding down the option key during the restart of your MBP? Because if you do this then you should see either an rEFit display or the Mac Startup Manager display.

Even as only an outside observer (I am NOT a developer), my first request would be for more information about what exactly has changed. Was the old logitech keyboard also a USB keyboard? Since you had the problem with new keyboard have you retried the old keyboard to verify that it still works? Stuff like that.
It may also be useful to include info about exactly which Mac Mini you are using and...
