Hi
BTW, I would not mind using an older version than HEAD because I'm not really good at dealing with such problems. However, I would prefer to use qt4, which is why I chose the development version first.
If you don't mind fixing these bugs, I don't mind reporting them. Otherwise, I might better try myself at the stable version.
Any thought on this ?
thanks.

Some of you might be pleased to know that MacPorts now offers a gutenprint port that installs the gimp plugin and which works with the gutenprint binaries too.

Then I guess this is a command line tool that must be called with an argument. Or maybe you can drap and drop the compressed file on the tool.

I don't know Windows.
Are you sure it is a .tz extension, I never seen that before. .gz would mean you need gzip.
You need to unpack the iso and then burn it to cd.
VMware should give you the instructions after that to install the OS as a virtual machine. Maybe you can use the ios directly.

With some kind of virtual machine (VMware, etc.), surely.

This is because you actuallly need 2 cds : 1 for darwin os and one for the gnu-darwin distribution that goes on top to provide the gui and applications. the best option for Darwin OS is probably OpenDarwin-7.2.1 (which corresponds to MacOSX 10.3.2) but I don't remember which version of macOS is needed for G5. Darwin-8.0.1 which correspond to 10.4 is also possible but there are issues with X11...
