the job of hotkeys, but rather belongs to applets like
shermans-aquarium or gkrellm-leds.

Since I have no access to architectures other than x86, I
can't make it to work on Sparc machines. If you can post the
backtrace of the core dump it will help me to see where the
problem is.

After a long while, development work on hotkeys is starting again, thanks to the help of Christian Britz and Alexander Wirz. But we have made the decision to abandon the use of SourceForge in favor of Debian's Alioth platform (which uses GForge). The URL is https://alioth.debian.org/projects/hotkeys/ .
