As a quick followup, I've tried the LAME 3.98 alpha 6 and LAME 3.96.1 dlls as well with 1.70b2 to no avail.

Have about 4000 Oggs that I want to transcode to mp3 for use where Ogg isn't supported. (I know transcoding is bad, but I don't want to re-rip my whole collection right now). I tried using "Re-encode compressed audio files" with 1.70b2, but it yielded silent tracks. When I went back to 1.51, it worked fine. I'd like to use the latest Lame encoder/cdex, if possible. Any...

Thanks for noting the fix for the FAQ. That item was put there before we created the SSJdbcRowsetImp.
We'd like to do more with mySQL, but Postgres is our production environment so we've had to rely on those using mySQL on a regular basis to assist with debugging.

It might not help at all, it was just the only MySQL issue that I could think of. Prasanth is traveling for the next few days, but might have some other suggestions when he returns. Biggest problem is that we don't use MySQL much.
