Many thanks for the info. I'm just not sure about whose point of view Phalanx analyzes positions from.
For example, on a really terrible blunder I made as white (I moved a knight to an attacked square and lost it immediately) Phalanx "awarded" me with a +3.85. Black got -3.81 upon capture.
I'd really like to understand this.

I'm having a great time playing the Phalanx chess engine (-e 100 of course). But I really would like to understand its analysis. For example, in analysis mode, Phalanx will say stuff like:
depth=12 +0.82 Nf6xd5 Bh3xf5 Bf8-c5 Bf5-e4 Nd5-f6 Be4-g2 O-O Ng1-h3 Nf6-g4 Nb1-a3 Pd7-d6
Nodes: 174178204 NPS: 100
Time: 483:49:42.04
Can anyone explain how to read this data?
