The pcp-r script found here:
http://synce.sourceforge.net/synce/contrib/pcp-r
seems to not work with the version of synce I have
installed from rpm:
synce-0.9.1-5.fc4
The script includes the text:

It might not be significant but try changing your ids from:
id="0"
To something like:
id="A0"
Also, could you post the actual XML that is generated?

Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to report this issue.
It looks like Gmail changed the thread summary ("ts")
data-pack by inserting a new field--as a result, subsequent
fields are off by one. This meant the timestamp field was
mistakenly returned instead of the message count.
I have hopefully fixed this issue in CVS, I would appreciate
hearing from you...
