  • Comment: Empty lines between log entries under Windows

Thanks bordo, Using \n instead of \n\r in file layout.cpp solved the problem! All MS Windows editors display the logs correctly without any empty lines. @martin: could you include this solution in the next release, please? Have a nice day, Manfred.

  • Empty lines between log entries under Windows

When using log4qt under Windows, it produces an empty line between two logger entries. This problem does not occur when using log4qt under Linux. This problem can be reproduced under Windows in Eclipse CDT Console (console logger) and also when opening log files with certain editors: some text editors display an empty line between the entries and some do not. • Comment: Log File gets overridden

Thanks Martin, the workaround works fine! I didn't change the resolution of this ticket to 'fixed' as the bug itself is still there. But I think it's rather helpful for others to have this ticket in the tracker. cu & have a nice day, Manfred.

  • Log File gets overridden

The log file gets overridden each time the application starts. so that all older log messages are lost. Log4qt is initialized using the properies file that has been attachend using Log4Qt::PropertyConfigurator::configure(...); Is there any similar bug known? How can we avoid to override existing log files? Thank you very much, Manfred.

  • Howto print Filename and linenumber

Hello Heinricht. Thanks for Log4Qt! I'm trying to print out file name and line number (%F:%L) via PatternLayout - but without success: the fields are empty. The documentation has no information regarding this. Also %t results in an empty string. Can you please tell me how to get this information logged? The complete format string is: %5p %d{dd.MM.yyyy HH:mm:ss} [%t] (%F:%L) - %m%n.
