You're right.
What about extending the main parser class with an OPML
parser to read feed created with OPML?
See
http://www.niallkennedy.com/blog/archives/2005/09/opml_listing_of_my_weblog_entr.html
It isn't a common usage (and being sincere I don't like it),
but some sites are proving...

Have a look at this OPML file
http://www.simonecarletti.com/blog/index.opml created
with this template
http://www.steve-lacey.com/blogarchives/2005/09/automatic_opml.shtml
If I import the OPML file as a blogroll RSSOwl shows
each outline as a "folder".
I suggest to improve the parsing system telling RSSOwl
that outline tags containing a type="link" or an URL
must be read as a newsitem.

Good, well done.
I'm working around Atom spec in these days. I will let you
know if there an easy way to guess the version.

I only heard about 0.3, 0.5 and 1.0.
Yes, there's no way to read the release but it can be
gathered from the feed structure.
0.3 and 1.0 are really different and a simple regexp can
return the version.
I don't have lots of information about 0.5.

Since the future RSSOwl 1.2 will support Atom 1.0, what
about adding Atom version on feed information?
Now feed panel show RSS x but only Atom.
I suggest to display also Atom version (0.3 or 1.0).

Release: RSSOwl/1.2 Preview Release 2005-08-29
(Windows; U; it)
SO: Windows XP Pro
I found 2 bugs trying to play with the new toolbar system.
1. When I right click on the toolbar and I remove the
flag from 'Display toolbar' item, the toolbar is still
visible.
To hide it I must change its status from View > Toolbar
2. Try to follow this steps: English > Italian > Play
With RSS Owl...

When I close RSSOwl feed history is cleared.
Is it normal or does it should be kept across RSSOwl
sessions?.

Sometimes I add the same feed twice just because I add both
an atom and a RSS.
Other times it could be useful to know the format (without
having to load it from the newspane), in particular if
you've got many feeds stored.

Since many standard are now available and RSSOwl
supports most of them (RSS 0.9x, RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0,
Atom...) what about displaying a different icon
depending on the file type?
Creating a RSS, Atom ad Rdf feed icon will help to
understand wich format is used without opening the feed.
