  • Followup: RE: More Character Descriptive Fields

Incidentally, the inter-character relationships has it's own request: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2845286&group_id=215748&atid=1034917 Also, I'm not one of the developers.

  • Followup: RE: More Character Descriptive Fields

I've been using a bunch of lines with Colons in the "Notes" section, eg. ------------------------------ Motivation: Wants to live a free and unoppressed life Goal: Wants to move to the Kingdom of Οὔρανος ------------------------------ That works OK. What I'd really prefer to see is: - Named "Character groups" - Relationships between two Characters...

  • Followup: RE: Synopsis

Personally, I thought that this would be best done through adding a "Notes" field to the Parts. That could contain the Synopsis. But I've just been doing that in OpenOffice, so far. I'm not the developer, though.

  • Comment: Ad Hoc Character Relationships

It would be kind of cool if it would also do family trees: http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Lab/6125/genealogy/.

  • Modularity

Hi. I've got a few suggestions for modularity. Separate Setting and Narrative databases ---------------------------------------------------------- Also, it might be kind of cool if there were two databases open at all times; the one for the Setting (ie. characters, locations, etc), and one for the Narrative (ie. Parts, Chapters, Scenes, etc). That would make it possible to start a new...

  • It won't let me comment on Feature requests

Sourceforge won't let me comment on the various existing feature requests. I suggest that something be done so that I can comment on existing feature requests.

  • Comment: Program doesn't start when installed as RPM

Ok, the problem was that the RPM spec file needed more tweaking. I'd advise including an RPM spec file in the project, so that people who want to build an RPM can do so. I'm happy to provide what I have if you contact me.

  • Comment: Program doesn't start when installed as RPM

Just did some more investigation. The java binary on my system links to /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.6.0-openjdk.x86_64/bin/java That tells us: - It's using Java 1.6 (I'm under the impression that this is the same as "Java 6"). - I'm on a 64-bit version of Linux. Also, I downloaded the Linux tarball which seems to have been precompiled. Are there instructions somewhere for downloading the...

  • Program doesn't start when installed as RPM

Hi. I installed storybook by getting the source RPM here: http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/26/dist/46/size/13385548/name/storybook-2.1.2-6.23.src.rpm ...and installing the SRPM, then downloading the latest version of storybook (version 2.1.12) and putting that into the SRPM, and, after tweaking the RPM spec file, I compiled it. This was all done on Fedora Linux version 12. I got the...
