Thanks for the example.
Still I think it would be a nice feature to have a simple freshen command. Very convenient for people who are used to arj and rar commands, and also for people who use the pkzip/info-zip -f option.

I see that freshen is possible via the 'u' command and '-u' switch, but this is much more complicated and more typing compared to the good old ARJ f command.
I prefer a simple freshen command, like ARJ and RAR have. Just update (freshen) all files in the archive for which newer versions exist on disk. Optional you can give a list of the files you want to freshen.
arj f [files]...

This is a lot more complex than the 'f' freshen command of ARJ and RAR.
arj f archive.arj
will just freshen all files in the archive of which newer version exist on disk.

I agree. I also miss the freshen command. I used 'freshen' a lot when I was using ARJ long time ago. ARJ has a freshen command and RAR has it too.
