I've made some changes to the code which may be useful
for others, including:
1. Fixed the colours in 16-bit TrueColor (as in another
patch)
2. Added 8-bit TrueColor mode so that clients forcing
8-bit mode dynamically will work
3. Mouse pointer isn't constantly rewritten when
nothing changes
4. Input-loop timeout would cause errors and crashing
(once 3. above was fixed and system wasn't...
