What's happening?

Followup: RE: OC4J and SPheon

The reason of such behavior was in xmlparserv2.jar - DomParser from Oracle. Being supplied by defualt it caused an error on Dom Parsing. We've changed xml lib for that application to xercesImpl (which was in ant/lib) and it worked.
