I have been using PHPAGI in a course I teach and would love to contribute back as well. I don't have many new features to add but I could contribute bug fixes as they come up.

I don't know if it is being maintained actively but it doesn't seem to have any major problems that prevent it from being used as is.
I certainly use it quite a bit..

I have a quick question about the $buffer variable that is passed into the fastpass functions. In the documentation it states "Return early if $buffer is adequate for request." I have no idea what this mean, could you describe it further?

I have been attempting something similar. I am trying to get DV through to a vloopback for use in a video4linux app. If veejay can or will do that, jumping for joy I will be.
