Yes, the SQR2XML package can write XML documents that Excel 2007 can read. The XML is written using Excel XP and 2003, but Excel 2007 can easily recognize this and open the file.
Be sure to use the extension "xls".
Were you having issues? I have this code working at a major client, running 1000 times a day in production, and Excel 2007 works fine.

I do not believe this is an sqr2xml issue, but a possible install issue of SQR on your Unix.

I believe you have to do step 9 and 10 for each (xml_finalize_worksheet_pagesetup and print), then do the xml_init_worksheet.
In other words, you should finalize the worksheet of page 1 before doing the init of worksheet for page 2. The wording of the functions can be your guide.
