Thank you again for wasting your time and checking my schema. Your comments made me think (again!) that the problem might be located at the network level and not the bonding driver at all. At least I have your confirmation that bonding driver configuration looks ok and I haven't done something wrong there. It must be the network though.
I didn't even know you can trunk 2 separate switches.

Many thanks for your answer. Honestly I was almost convinced that I'm all alone here :).
You are right regarding the failure points in our network and we are aware of it. We are in the process of building a sysadmin team and we hope that this issue is gonna be fixed once we have the proper personel. Since then we get some profesional support from another department but its not much though. I.

Just wondering, is anybody still reading this list or I'm just making a fool of myself talking alone here? It won't be the first time though ...

Hi everybody,
I'm not a sysadmin or network specialist. In some akward circumstances I had to install this driver and, of course, I run into some problems. I hope my post will not bother any of you and that I'll find here the missing information that makes my bonding configuration to fail.
Since an image is worth thousands of words the problem description can be found better at this addre.
