Any news on this one. I notice the genes i wanted to annotate are still in my log file.

I still have a little problem here. the gene(s) I wanted to annotate aren't necessarily invovled in mismatch repair.....

there is a term
H4/H2 histone acetyltransferase activity
Catalysis of the addition of an acetyl group to a histone, specific for histones H4 and (to a lesser extent) H2A.
why wouldn't we just annotate to the 2 terms
H4 histone acetyltransferase activity etc?
there are a couple of others too....

These two terms describe reactions that are slightly different, and
both have sterols on the same side of the reaction equation, despite the
difference in the names. The names are a lot less specific than either
reaction.
Presumably the same enzyme can catalyze both reactions; moreover, MetaCyc
has six reactions listed for EC 1.1.1.270 (one is the same as in EC and

can the term
auxiliary transport protein activity
and its children
be merged into their relevent process terms ?
This would help annotation consistency.
