  • Choosing the model of the IDE or network controller

It is not possible to choose the ide or network controller virtio. Especially the ide controller has a huge impact on the speed of the vm. There is also a driver available for Windows XP and later which makes everything smoother. It would be great if there would be a gui option for it.

  • Comment: not accessible buildings are shown in queue [0.9

I like the idea but graying out only makes sense if the building never is accepted as first one in the queue so the second one gets automatically first and so on until it is possible to actually build this.

  • Followup: RE: Auto compressibility check

I have the problem with 0.13.2 that the video compression doesn't work if I have the compressibility check acitivated. I don't need it since I don't scale too and have everything on manual. But if I don't disable the check everything gets extracted but as soon OGMRip tries to decode the video it just stops without an error.

  • the estimated rounds to build a item is to long

The hover image over a house which is build shows the sum of the turns needed for the hammer and tools. It just should show the highest value. If e.g. it takes six round to create enough hammer and eight rounds to create enough tools the value should be eight.

  • Comment: not accessible buildings are shown in queue [0.9

Ok, so buildings which are an upgrade are fine in the queue and make sense but the ones which are not possible because of a missing congress man like factories or custom houses shouldn't be available. At least there should be a warning if one of them is first but couldn't be build.

  • not accessible buildings are shown in queue [0.9

You could very early chose to build custom houses in the queue but they don't get build. The hammers aren't counted for it. Probably because I haven't had the needed congress man. The same happens with factories and similar. You could chose them but they don't get build. They should be invisible. If you for example add a shipyard you could already add ships. I am not sure if this is a bug but...

  • enemy pioneer is slaughtered instead of captured [0.9]

I have tried several time to capture a British pioneer but it always gets slaughtered instead of captured. My soldier was a veteran dragon (no artillery). I am using current SVN and it also happened with the 0.9 alpha.

  • Followup: RE: Standard Profile Bitrates a little bit high

I am not sure that a file size would be better. The problem is that not all DVD material is 90 minutes long that's why I prefer a fixed bitrate with 2-pass. Also the file shouldn't be burned or similar so there is no fixed size needed. The bitrate should just be more appropriate for the small display/resolution to save space. Maybe here are some people who could test the quality on their...

  • Standard Profile Bitrates a little bit high

I am no expert but I am using 768 Kbits with DVD material without scaling down, just cutting the black borders, and it looks like the original for me if compressed with H264 and Extreme or maybe High. Isn't für the Iphone 1500 a little bit much? I mean the display is so small and the resolution of 640 is small too. I mean half of it should be enough with the sophisticated H264 codec or do I...

  • Followup: RE: 0.13.1 doesn't copy dvd to harddisc

I just wanted to mention that the fix works for me. 0.13.2 is already in Ubuntu Karmic and runs very smooth. Even the annoying MPlayer gui isn't installed anymore.
