I think I can actually get that using the tools mentioned above. Can you give me a hint what you might expect, or maybe what the signal order of one of the other DC's looks like so I can be sure?
Thanks!
Russell Dwiggins.

I had been using jdivelog with a Suunto Mosquito. Unfortunately this computer reached its end of life. A buddy sold me his D9 for an amazing price, so I'm interested in using this protocol as well.
I'm happy on the cli and can get some output for you if you wish. Just let me know what needs to be done.
Also, in case you haven't seen it yet, there is another project for open source...

Just wanted to let you know that I've updated the aforementioned forum. I will attempt to compile frogface soon. What can I expect?.

* Printing! Did I say printing?
* I liked the layout of SDM...Dives on the left, profile of selected dive on the right, details on the bottom. The 3 pane view works well because it is so similar to many of our other clients (email, nntp, etc...).
* The usual multimedia add-ins.

Tried the install the installer way and the zip way with the same results. jdivelog.bat will error with: "Could not find the main class. Program will exit."
jdivelog.jar works just fine, but I'm guessing all those other .jar's that the .bat calls are important too.
Executing all the other .jar's on the command line brings up the same error as above.
Any ideas?.

I've been working with some folks to get jdivelog installed on a Mac. I think the key piece that is missing is the driver for the USB/Serial converter that you are using, or the USB interface provided by Suunto (which internally is a USB/Serial converter anyway).
The website where the discussion is happening is the following...

Firstly I just want to say "Thank You" for your efforts in this area. It's always nice when diving people are considerate of all the geeks in the world...not just Windows geeks.
I just read your blog, and I say "kudos!" to you.
Now for some questions:
1) Will this software download info from dive computers?
2) Have you looked at some of the other projects...

Conditions are similar here; but during summertime, there is a very significant thermocline.
Anyway, I'm glad you were able to find the other temp bit.
Is RGBM already in the current version, or something you plan to implement at a later date?.

In terms of swing, I believe that some folks have implemented it on the Zaurus. Is this the only other requirement to get jdivelog to run (putting aside running well!).
In terms of screen resolution, my Zaurus (SL-6000) uses 640x480 true VGA resolution. Not sure if this is below specs or not, but it sure would be interesting to try.
I'll see if I can get swing running on my Z, and if I...

I have a Zaurus, a linux-based handheld computer (or PDA) which runs a few varieties of embedded java. What requirements does jdivelog have in terms of java...do you think it's possible that it might work with the jdivelog?
The device has a serial interface (as well as a USB host), so it might be nice to check out a profile immediately after a dive.
Thanks,
Russell Dwiggins.
