  • Comment: Log path doesn't understand UNC

Actually this is preventing any settings from being saved. \\SERVER\Users\Me\Application Data\InfraRecorder\ is never created, so one assumes that the settings file(s) cannot be put into that location on update/exit.

  • Log path doesn't understand UNC

My %APPDATA% is a UNC path of the form \\SERVER\Users\Me\... so every time I start InfraRecorder, a path of the following form is mistakenly created: C:\SERVER\users\Me\Application Data\InfraRecorder\Logs This is version 0.5 in Win XP SP3, on a domain, running as a local administrator.

  • Followup: RE: Suggestion for the shell menu

This is what StuffIt for Windows does, but StuffIt has really gone down the pan lately. StuffIt also had an option such that double-click on an archive expanded it immediately instead of browsing inside it, expanding inner archives, and wrapping multiple items in a folder if necessary. One single double-click. StuffIt 8 did all this, but it would also crash out with various archives and I'd...

  • Comment: PNG screenshots

I strongly suggest you file problems with taking screenshots as a new bug. However, when you do so, consider -- are you getting an error message telling you that the frame couldn't be captured (some weird message you get sometimes), is it capturing the wrong frame and then rewinding back to the one it took (a problem if your PC is too slow), or do you get no picture at all? If you're using a...

  • Comment: midi files don't work

Well, at least this bug explains why I can't play any MIDI files that interest me in AdPlug for Winamp. I've just upgraded to the latest AdPlug for Winamp (1.8) and the bug remains. It means that I cannot use this plugin to play soundtracks like Descent and my large collection of old MIDI files from my 486. (Descent in particular suffers horribly from being played on an EMU chip!) Any hope of...

  • Comment: CMFs still not playing correctly

Traffic Department's music was composed by Dan Froelich and, in common with all his soundtracks, they don't play correctly outside of the game. Games affected by this include The Xargon Trilogy, Brix, Solar Winds and Traffic Department 2192. This is not a bug in AdPlug -- you'll find that Creative Labs' own DOS audio player (when running with SBFMDRV loaded) has the exact same problem. The...

  • Comment: .CUE file support (for single file albums)

What would you have MPC do with a cue sheet? There are two cue sheet reader plugins for Winamp. One of them creates a separate window for the cuesheet, leaving your single-file album/mix as a single file in the main playlist window. The other plugin creates pseudo-entries in the main playlist for each item from the cuesheet. I've always liked the former, but clearly some people prefer the...

  • Comment: PNG screenshots

As a workaround for now, you could always snag a copy of BMP2PNG, and set up a custom Explorer action for .bmp files that sends the selected item to BMP2PNG. (I have a second such action that sends a PNG file to OptiPNG for optimisation.) When you're done snapping, select all the files, right-click, Convert to PNG. Watch as a million BMP2PNG windows open and marvel at how Explorer handles...

  • Custom image filename format template

At present, images are saved with a filename of the format "snapshotyyyymmddhhmmss". I would dearly like to be able to alter this template, so that I can customise the default name. Primarily, I want the image filename to be the clip name (minus extension) followed by a hyphen-minus and then a disambiguation number. For example, this could be "%F-%N". For a clip "foo.wmv", the default name would...
