Hi yfabian, sorry I didn't see your follow-ups. Yes, I was running vim in the front window (via ssh, version 7.0.214 on FreeBSD 6.2)

i seem to be good at triggering these things. was just selecting one of two open windows, the one with four tabs. the other window had no tabs.
