I have been doing manual installs. The approach you list works.
I don't know whether you want to close this or poke about to see if there's something odd with manual installs or not.

Installation of Subclipse either before or after the installation of the QuantumDB plugin (http://quantum.sourceforge.net/) breaks Quantum so that it is unavailable in Eclipse.
On a clean install of Eclipse 3.2.1 + Quantum 3.0.3 + GEF 3.2.2, with Quantum working, a subsequent install of Subclipse breaks Quantum so that Quantum is no longer available. Either disabling Subclipse or removing...

Elvin,
I'm using standard Eclipse 3.2.1, as opposed to the WTP build. Maybe that would be worth trying.
In their wisdom, the devs of Subclipse have dismissed my bug (http://subclipse.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=605) as a WONTFIX, declaring that it must be a problem with Eclipse itself and not with Subclipse. As such, I've spoken with the Eclipse devs and they have passed the ball...

And there you go! First one I tried borked Quantum. Subclipse, at least in part is the guilty party.
I took the clean install plus Quantum and GEF that I set up, added in Subclipse, restarted the workbench and BOOM! No Quantum and an error on startup that Quantum couldn't be restored.
Disabling Subclipse makes no difference. Removing it leaves Quantum broken also, which is frankly...

Yes, I have 3.2.1 on OS X.
An eclipse -clean makes no difference.
However, a clean install of Eclipse 3.2.1, Quantum 3.0.3 and GEF 3.2.2 *does* work, so it's now a matter of progressively adding back my plugins to see what breaks it.
I have a fair number of plugins, but they are all core to my work, so I'm reluctant to eliminate any of them:
- CFEclipse
- Flex Builder

Hmmm. I have an issue with the same symptom as Boris.
I have GEF Runtime 3.2.2 and QuantumDB 3.0.3, both manually installed. The Quantum perspective just doesn't show up. I've done several restarts and remove/installs to no avail.
Can anyone point me to anything else I should be looking for to solve this?
Steve.

I can confirm this behavior. Further, Bug 1541093 is a dupe
of this bug.
If the devs could get this one fixed, I'd be stoked.
PasswordSafeSWT is a critical app for me.

I'm having a heap of trouble even getting the NagMIN web interface working in NagMIN 2.2.0. Truth be told, I can't get it working.
Can anyone offer me some advice on what I ought to be doing?
TIA.
Steve.

I have the latest NagMIN up and running, and would REALLY like some advice on getting the web portal and side menu working. The documentation is woeful at present, but if I can get some advice from those in the know, I am happy to write something comprehensive.
Any advice welcome.

I have a repo containing a single module which checks out, updates, etc. just fine using cvs tools or command line, but blows up in CVSMonitor. The error log I get is fairly unhelpful, as you can see:
Tue Sep 7 15:18:57 2004 Command - checkout ITR.ITR
Tue Sep 7 15:18:57 2004 Checking out module ITR.ITR
