Hi Werner,
Thank you for looking at this. I've reopened that bug for lighttpd.
I was able to download that file (although it had a 'bin'-ary mime type) and it opened ok.

Please find a attached the debug syslog from davfs2. I changed the IP to 10.10.something.
I note at some point davfs2 does get told about the dir with [ ] in:
https://10.10.210.241:11780/keep/test/Music.ogg/Faithless/[2005]%20Forever%20Faithless%20-%20The%20Greatest%20Hits%20(e411b610)
The only change to the config files is setting the debug options you asked...

The server is:
lighttpd-1.4.19 (ssl) - a light and fast webserver
Build-Date: May 14 2008 04:49:40
Running on Debian Lenny MIPS with the dav module. I can include configs if you need to.
The client is also Debian Lenny, but on i386.
All software, bar davfs2 is from lenny. For davfs2 when I encountered this problem with the lenny version (1.3.0cvs20080412-1) I decided to get...

Hi,
I have files in the following format:
Artist/[Year] Album (cddbid)/[Track] Name (artist).ext
eg:
Faithless/[2005] Forever Faithless - The Greatest Hits (e411b610)/
Through other webdav clients this is fine. However via davfs2 all the artist directories are empty, there is no album in any:
Faithless$ ls -la
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 64 2005-08-09 17:33 .
drwxr-xr-x...
