What's happening?

  • Third option to arrears, dump goods

    Currently, when we go to Europe with a boycotted good (on accident, for example), if we try to sell it, we are given two options -Pay arrears -Dump goods Can we please have the option to cancel the attempted sale so that we can just take the good back to sell to indians? Right now we HAVE to dump them or pay arrears if we make this mistake.

  • Comment: Exped Forces try to build colonies?

    Mata that's not what the EF's are there for. Their country technically DOES have colonies: yours. They are there to wrest control of them from you. It would split their focus unnecessarily to be building colonies. Historically speaking, I'm aware of no evidence that British soldiers founded colonies in the midst of attempting to put down the Revolution.

    I thought I had a breakthrough observation, but then I discounted it. In a couple games, the powers whose EF's have caused hangups for me appear to have been eliminated or else have not yet established their first colony (0 liberty bells for that power).     One more thing...in two different new games, the Russian EF's have caused the game to hang before I've created a settlement (still exploring in my Dutch merchantman). This doesn't just happen with newly added colonial powers, either. In classic 4 player, Spanish EF's cause the game to hang after a few turns of having no colony as well.     He's definitely on to something but it doesn't always hang on one's nation's EF. I just installed the 0.8.0 alpha and I'm having the same problem, but I'm playing as Dutch and it hangs on the Russian EF. I've been able to continue playing by saving the game during the hang (on Russian EF) and reopening it, but it doesn't make the game playable. The year changes, but my merchantman never...

    I know for certain that Tools were almost always worth less on the market than the ore that produced them, possibly ALWAYS always. Misiulo says that he recalls other raw products surpassing their processed counterparts in price, too. My Colonization for Windows is out of order right now so I can't play test it for you, but I think we should keep it as is. I don't think it's a bug...

  • Undead units can be captured.

    In Revenge mode, I don't think enemies should be able to capture and use your Undead units. I think they should "die" if you lose them in combat.
