Can we make this change configurable? I find this new behaviour annoying as I usually 'save as' accidentally by hitting one of the punctuation keys around enter when confirming the filename which leaves me editing the wrong file.

mail.jsf has changed significantly (for the worse IMO), If you add the mail.jsf from joe 3.5 into ~/.joe/syntax you'll get the old behaviour.

When editing a lua file you get the following error message:
"/etc/joe/syntax/lua.jsf 183: Unknown class"
This is due to to the unused :control state. The attached patch fixes the problem.
