A trivial example which doesn't work:
$ winmergeu /c/JavaRa.log /c/AUTOEXEC.BAT
This doesn't work either from Cygwin shell or CMD shell.
I've upgraded to 2.11.1.8 from 2.10.2.0, without restarting. Is that a possible cause (I can't restart any time soon to check)?
BTW, the following (wrong?) syntax does open these files, though:
$ winmergeu c:JavaRa.log C:AUTOEXEC.BAT

The following fails on Cygwin:
winmergeu /c/aaa.txt /c/bbb.txt
Merging those two files on Winmerge by selecting them in file explorer works, of course.
Running the following:
winmergeu /c/aaa.txt ccc.txt
Opens Winmerge window with a ccc.txt in the 'Left' pane, and the 'Right' pane is empty.

When diffing directories recursively, where most files are small, and only the minority of the files are huge, one would like to have the option to skip a specific file, or switch to quick-compare, instead of the full-contents compare.
This action should be implemented as a button which pops inside the 'Folder Compare Progress' dialog whenever a file is being compared for, say, 10 seconds...

I believe +90% of Mingw/MSYS users are users who merely follow compilation instructions of other open source projects, and are directed to download and install both MinGW and MSYS.
While it is rather easy to find a working MinGW installer and use it, it is very difficult for the novice user to locate the MSYS installer.
