Assigned to Richard. Yes we all want better UTF support. I believe Richard wants to do this, but it may be a while depending on his availability. First he wants to improve the editor (maybe get rid of riched). One problem Al and I had way back with MIME was finding people who could test it with other languages and locales.

Allow more than 255 chars for custom headers. Some X-faces are truncated. There are (3) places where user can enter custom headers.
1. Tools > global options
2. Newsgroup > properties
3. Compose Window > Advanced fields.

This is not really a bug, so I gave it low priority. I noticed in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MicroPlanet\Gravity 2.9\URL\Settings the URL PCREs are written in the old Reg Exprs.
That is, in
(((mailto:)){0,1}([a-zA-Z0-9._$-]+@[a-zA-Z0-9._$-]+))
The A-Z is redundant since PCRE are compiled with the caseless option. I don't know if these actually cause the PCRE engine to work harder or...

OK, I understand. Yes RFC says to quote forbidden chars (but those chars should be avoided). We will see if Richard wants to tackle that or not. It should not be difficult with the correct RFC.

I am not sure what you are saying. Is it that Gravity should check e-mail address and quote the forbidden characters automatically. Or does Gravity strip off the quotes that you have entered manually?.

In the Customize toolbar window, the description is wrong for a button. The description for "Forward Article via Mail" should be "Next Local Body" or "Go to Next Local Body".

I haven't noticed a problem with this. To be honest, you are the first to bring it up. Most people want FAST. I use a cable modem and let it rip, just got 527 KB/sec on astraweb. I believe the speed is also regulated by the remote server and the hops between. Gravity actually does have a speed regulator based on how fast it can process incoming articles, but it depends how fast your machine is...
