  • Comment: A/V sync problem when seeking AVI, MJPEG,30fps

    Hi Dan, testing with ffplay shows weired results, as my ffplay installation (debian unstable , latest packages from Marillat) locks up on video when seeking. I've to double check what's going on there. But seeking in exactly the same file works with perfect A/V sync in avidemux, vlc, mplayer or gstreamer based totem. Therefore, I'm assuming the file itself is "some kind of valid". I'm not...

  • A/V sync problem when seeking AVI, MJPEG,3fps

    Originally this audio/video syncronization issue was observed working with kdenlive, but testing with melt and enforcing some seeking (skipping back- and forward), the issue can clearly be seen as a mlt bug. A/V sync is off by roughly a second after seeking in 640x480, 30 fps AVI files with MJPEG codec and mono 44kHz PCM audio as recorded by typical digicams, like an IXUS 70 (in my...

  • Broken merge -> testfile

    Hi Jürgen, as indicated in the layouteditor.net forum, here's a very, simple test file giving strange results on older 2008 release. Could you please test it on a the latest and greatest ? Toby.

  • Comment: Image orientation

    Hi Tadej, do you plan an "official" realease including image rotation in a foreseeable timeframe, or am I better off compiling SVN code myself ? Are there any plans to support auto-rotation based on EXIF data ? toby.

  • Image orientation

    Hi, it would be great, if imagination could detect the proper image orientation from EXIF data. Otherwise, a quick way to rotate an image is kind of mandatory. Toby.

  • Comment: dvgrab buffer underrun for raw dump to /dev/null

    I'm using old-style ohci1394 + raw1394 on a Gigabyte GA-M56S-S3 with a TI TSB43AB23 chip. After noticing interupt overlap with a PCI WLAN add-on card, I started to play with interupts, moved the WLAN card to different PCI slots, and suddenly the firewire subsystem stopped to detect any devices on the bus. No log messages, the TI chip is attached to the pci bus and listed by lspci, but no...

  • dvgrab buffer underrun for raw dump to /dev/null

    I'm struggling with buffer underrun problems for quite a while now. First, I was suspecting a new SATA disk used for data storage, but it turned out that even the most basic operation results in buffer underrun messages: hostname:/data/tmp$ dvgrab -noavc -f raw - > /dev/null Found AV/C device with GUID 0x00804580114b70bd Warning: Cannot set RR-scheduler Warning: Cannot disable...

  • Octave Lexer: SCE_MATLAB_COMMAND mode for '!=' is wrong

    Octave and Matlab share the same Lexer. In Matlab a locical "not equal" is given by "~=", while Octave allows for "!=" and "~=" at the same time. The Lexer doesn't pay attention to this Octave operator and switches into MATLAB_COMMAND mode at the exclamation mark, which is wrong. I would suggest that the lexer should do a look ahead to capture this special case in genereal. (A Matlab...

  • R20070319/Qt4.2.2 doesn't allow < 6 cols in layer table

    Hi, it looks like the latest release 20070319 doesn't allow to adjust the width of the layer table to less than 6 columns as long as the mouse help is docked at the same side. Previous releases allowed to adjust for 5 columns, which is very handy when it comes to layer numbers, right ? Either this new restriction is releated to Qt 4.2.2, the default fonts and their size/width choosen by...
