Mhh you're right, we have DEFINES+="PLUGIN_PATH=/usr/$(get_libdir)/mumble" appended to qmake, but it doesn't seem to work. A quick check on mumble 1.1.8 shows the same behaviour. I start to wonder if it ever worked before or if something else broke. Anyways, thanks for your help! :)

Thanks, will you also update the build system to install it into /usr/lib64/mumble by default then?.

During writing an updated ebuild for Gentoo I noticed a warning issued by our default package manager "Portage":
* QA Notice: The following shared libraries lack a SONAME

I just spotted this when doing an ebuild for Gentoo, sr@latin.po
should be renamed to sr@Latn.po since this seems to be what it's
called in other packages. In Gentoo we automate the installation of
language files depending on the users needs which causes a problem in
this case and needs a manual workaround. Would be great if this could
be fixed for the next release of K9Copy. Thanks in...

Worked perfectly, just had to create the missing m4 directory. Thanks for looking into this, greatly appreciated!

Attached is my config.log. After reading your comment I also found out that if I don't force the rebuild of the of the autotools scripts it works like in your case, I'm also attaching my full build.log and configure.fail (the autoconf 2.62 regenerated configure script).
File Added: config.log.
