Attached is a patch that uses a more reliable method to find the local IP address by using sockets. I've been using this on Linux as the existing iterative method wasn't working.

Hi Christoph.
That seems to work fine, thanks. I get the warning that it picks up a null return asking for the last index (and that it may be a UPnPLib bug), though it seems healthy and I believe it's listing all of the ports correctly.

While PortMapper is scanning for port maps on the router, the following exception is thrown:

To anybody that runs across thisproject...
We aren't using SF.net for CVS and for managing our files at present. We are currently implementing the "back end" of the control panel system on our servers, and trying to get it all into a usable and working state.
We're trying to run a web hosting business around this control panel system, so getting the back end of the cpanel ready...
